Chicago roots, soul-first songwriting
Bringing people together in unison through music.
Kris Ray is a Chicago-born R&B artist whose work pairs warm, late-night soul with cinematic delivery. A performance-driven entertainer first, he builds every record around the live moment, the shared feeling of a room moving as one.
His growing catalog, including the latest release TRUE FORM, signals an artist with a clear voice and a stage built for the arena.
The long version
Born and raised in Chicago, Kris Ray grew up surrounded by the city's deep musical lineage, a tradition of soul, gospel, and honest storytelling. He carries that lineage forward with a modern, cinematic sensibility.
As an independent artist, Kris Ray has built his name record by record and show by show, turning rooms into shared experiences. His releases, from the breakout single PYT through the projects About That Girl and GOOFY to the latest TRUE FORM, chart a clear artistic arc: confident, soulful, and unapologetically present.
At the center of it all is the RIZZ TEAM, a devoted fan family that moves with him. His mission remains the one he's stated from the start: bringing people together in unison through music.
